Thank you for applying to volunteer at the Library!

To apply, you need a valid Palatine Public Library District Card and to be at least 14 years old. All volunteers must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
Ages 11-13 may only apply for designated opportunities with written parental approval.

Will your volunteer hours be used to fulfill requirements for school or another organization?

All volunteers must commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours. The Palatine Public Library District is unable to accept court - ordered or court supervised community service.

If placed in a volunteer opportunity, I agree to abide by the rules of the Palatine Public Library District’s Volunteer Program. I understand that I must follow instructions given by staff, perform my tasks in a professional and timely manner, and adhere to the Library’s Privacy Policy. Failure to do so may result in my dismissal from the Volunteer Program.

All volunteers 18 years and older must execute a release for a criminal background investigation and volunteering is contingent upon receipt of the criminal background investigation.
