How do I sign up for an ILL account?
Search for the item you are looking for in WorldCat. When you find your item, call, email, chat, or visit us to request your interlibrary loan. Have your Library card available.
Fee: $10.00 to request materials from out of state.
How long can I have the materials?
Due dates and renewals are determined by the lending library. Materials are generally loaned to you for three weeks. Photocopies are yours to keep. Additional conditions may be imposed by lending libraries.
How many items may I get at one time?
You may have three active interlibrary loans at a time.
What may be requested?
- Books
- Music CDs
- DVDs
- Audiobooks on CD
- Articles (We request photocopies or electronic documents, not entire issues)
What may not be requested?
- Ne w materials (one year old or less)
- Computer games or software
- Journals/Magazines
- Reference materials
- Textbooks
Who is eligible?
Any Palatine Library cardholder in good standing (no fines or fees over $10.00) can borrow through interlibrary loan.
