You may also submit a paper application, available at all Library locations. Some opportunities require a special application (as noted).

Volunteers need a valid Palatine Public Library District card and must commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours. We are unable to accommodate court-ordered or court-supervised community service.  

Opportunities for Adults

There are no volunteer opportunities at this time.   Please check back when the Library re-opens. 

Opportunities for Teens

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) - for grades 8th-12th

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meets monthly during the school year and members assist at various programs throughout the year.  Applicants must be in grades 8-12 to become a member.  Applications are currently available online here

Tween Advisory Group (TAG) - for grades 5th-7th

The Tween Advisory Group (TAG) meets monthly during the school year on Saturdays between 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.  Enjoy a fun activity and give input for library services, displays, programs, and collections.  Each month features a different activity.  Sign-up two weeks before the date on the library events calendar or click the link below.   No application required.
