Our Mission
Palatine Library Foundation supports the mission and activities of Palatine Library by raising funds to support the Library's current needs. Foundation members work closely with the Library's Executive Director to identify projects that fit the community and staff goals.
Join Us!
We are recruiting members to help with a variety of tasks, including website maintenance, membership, recruitment, corporate sponsorships, and donor relations.
If you are interested, please contact Board President Ed Kerr at president@ppldf.org, or watch the Library events calendar for upcoming Foundation meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
StoryWalk® Project
A significant initiative is the StoryWalk® Project, which involves the installation of a series of permanent panels that display a story at the Hamilton Reservoir in Palatine. The Foundation is thrilled to partner with other local businesses and organizations to provide a place where families can enjoy reading while participating in an outdoor activity together.
Members of the community are also invited to contribute and provide donations toward the new story. To recognize a birthday, anniversary, or honor a loved one on this public walk in Hamilton Park, contact president@ppldf.org.
For a donation of $100.00, you and your family can be recognized on one of the Storywalk panels.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
