Palatine Public Library District Board of Trustees has voted to place a referendum on the ballot on April 2, 2019. The referendum asks voters to approve a limiting rate increase on the Library’s property tax levy of 0.075. For a median value home in our Library District, the estimated increase in annual taxes is $52.
At these forums, library staff present more information about the referendum, how the money will be spent, and the impact on property taxes. Learn about the future of the Library if the referendum passes or fails.
Library staff and trustees will be on hand to answer questions. Ask our financial planners about how they determined the necessary tax increase, and get a preview of possible interior renovations.
