Winning Entries of the 2015 Pumpkin Decorating Contest

62 creative kids entered our 2015 Decorate-a-Pumpkin contest. Visitors at the Main Library voted for their favorite entries in each age group during the week of October 20 - 27. After tallying almost 600 ballots, we are pleased to announce this year's winners.

In the Grades K-2 category, first place winner Tanisha K. used feathers, ribbon, and aluminum foil to stunning effect.

Julia S., our winner in the Grades 3-6 group, transformed her pumpkin into a multi-eyed spider:

To honor their hard work and imagination, Tanisha and Julia will each receive a Toys 'R Us gift card.

Every entry in this year's contest was "boo-tiful" and unique, so we know it wasn't easy for visitors to select their favorites. (One voter even took the time to include an encouraging message on their ballot: "Great job, everyone." We couldn't agree more!) Many thanks to all those who cast ballots, and congratulations to Tanisha, Julia, and everyone who participated in this activity and shared the fun.

Happy Halloween!
