More stunning sights to see!

Come to the second floor to view artist Jack Mitchell’s rich oil paintings on the west wall. Our south wall features Palatine Historical Society’s tribute to the Village of Palatine—as this year marks the Village’s 150th Anniversary.  Roman Golash displays his meaningful military items in the display cases near the top of the stairs.

The first floor school case features the creative artwork from Salt Creek Park District Preschool. Come see all these amazing works!

West Gallery Wall

Jack Mitchell exhibits his expressive oil paintings of nature, landscapes, farms, and portraits on our west gallery wall. All of his paintings are created in one sitting (Alla Prima)—not by photograph--to capture the feeling, or mood of the subject.

South Gallery Walls

The south wall features a wide-array of archived articles all about the Village of Palatine, since 1866, presented by the Palatine Historical Society. You’ll be amazed by Palatine’s history, stories, and photos of yesteryear—all in celebration of Palatine’s 150th anniversary.

Adult Display Cases

Roman Golash, a member the Military Officers Association of America, displays his meaningful military items in the display cases near the top of the stairs, in honor of all Veterans.

First Floor School Student Display

Salt Creek Park District Preschool has filled the first floor display case with a variety of their fun artwork, created with mixed media, including paint, pencils, oil pastels, and paper.

First Floor Children’s Collection Cases

Siblings Mary and Jack, display their collections of seashells and toys including Strawberry Shortcake.
