Game Of Thrones Read-a-Likes

Summer is coming… and Game of Thrones is on TV. I carve out time to watch every Sunday night and I've read all the books. Here's a fun question for fans: what would the characters read if given the choice?

book coverLegacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

Tyrion Lannister would read this because, as he himself would say, “A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge. This is why I read so much.” Six strangers’ lives intertwine in this fascinating historical fantasy. Alexander wants to leave the kingdom with his best friend to find the Fountain of Youth and cure him of his ailment. This is to prove he is a strong leader.

book coverDeath Sworn by Leah Cypess

Arya Stark would read this because: an exiled sorceress loses her magic and attempts to solve a murder. Did I mention she is in a cave filled with people who want to kill her? Like Arya, Ileni is fighting for her life while trying to “play nice” with maniacs in this high fantasy mystery.

book coverThe Outcasts by John Flanagan

Jon Snow would read this because: Hal was cast out from Skandian society and ends up in a brotherband with a group of young boys. While there, he learns skills on how to become a kick-butt warrior.

book coverRuined by Amy Tintera

Sansa Stark would read this because: Emelina lost everything…her parents were killed, her sister was kidnapped, and her home has been taken over. The only thing she wants is revenge. How will she get it? By posing as the crowned prince’s wife to be.

book coverAnd I Darken by Kiersten White

Cersei Lannister would read this because: A mad princess who wants to rule and destroy her enemies and will go to any lengths possible to do it. Sound like anyone familiar?
