- Download the Beanstack Tracker app to your smartphone or device. You may already have an account from past reading programs. Android | Apple
- Wednesday, June 1, log your books on Beanstack.
- If you cannot sign up online, call any location and our friendly staff will help you.

Reading Requirements
Birth – Grade 2: Read 30 Books
Grades 3 – 6: Read 10 Books
Grades 7 – 12: Read 5 Books
Adults: Read 5 Books
What counts as a book?
ANYTHING! Books - including audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, audiobooks, ebooks, work reports, online articles, and more. Did you check your car manual, read a report at work, or research a new coffeemaker? That all counts on your log!
Come In To Win!
Sign up between June 1 and August 15 to get a scratch-off card for a chance to win a free prize of your choice — while supplies last. Save your scratch-off card with amazing freebies and discounts around town—generously provided by our Summer Reading Program partners!
Finish and Get a Grand Prize!
After completing the program, you receive a Grand Prize T-Shirt or Tote Bag, generously donated by Friends of the Palatine Library. Claim your completion prize through Wednesday, August 31—while supplies last. Shirt size selection is limited.

Kick-off Party
Saturday, June 4, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate our Summer Reading Program with a reptile show, family bingo, spray tattoos, balloon animals, and crafts. All ages. Drop in.
Dave DiNaso's Traveling World of Reptiles
Saturday, June 4, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Get an up-close and interactive experience with reptiles and amphibians from around the world. All ages. Tickets available 5/21 for valid District cardholders.

Design Challenge
July 5 – July 22
Stop by the Main Library to pick up materials to design a color wheel inspired by nature. Look for different colors out in nature, collect them, and add them to your color wheel. Write your name in the center and tell us what you thought was the prettiest color in nature. Send pictures of your completed design to kids@palatinelibrary.org by July22 to be displayed on the Library's digital monitors from July 25 - 31.
